Last fall we had the most unique opportunity to work with a photographer we love all the way from North Carolina. He had never been to the Rockies and was planning a trip out this way, so we thought what better way than a styled Rocky Mountain elopement to immerse him right into the much sought after mountain wedding culture! Here’s what we dreamed up:
Louise and Robin’s romantic escape to the mountains was both a wedding planner’s and photographer’s dream come true. Couple the picturesque backdrop of the Canadian Rocky Mountains with the crystal clear waters and you have yourself the makings for a memorable and breathtaking elopement.
The styling and design for this wedding was inspired by a masculine aesthetic that was at the same time romantic and vintage. We used props from Cellar Door Vintage Rentals to help tie in the whole vision. The weathered and rugged suitcases were the perfect statement for travel and elopement. The picnic was in itself a sight to see with a original Hudson’s Bay blanket and menu curated from local fare from Alberta.
These two had no qualms when it came to scaling mountains or walking out on rickety lumber just to capture the perfect shot. A true outdoorsy couple, this elopement was a reflection of everything they hold dear to their hearts: the mountains, the great outdoors and fun-filled adventure thrills.
